About The Role

Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for data and reporting? Do you enjoy investigating trends, solving problems and helping businesses make informed decisions?

At HomeServe, we're looking for an HR Data Analyst to join our People Team and support the delivery of insightful workforce reporting and analytics. Working within our Reward & Reporting team, you'll analyse people data, develop meaningful reports and dashboards, and contribute to key annual activities including pay reviews, diversity reporting and gender pay gap analysis.

Whether you already have HR data experience or come from a wider reporting or business insights background, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while developing your expertise in people analytics.

We work in a hybrid way, with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office at least twice a week to work with your team. With this in mind, you will be located within a reasonable commute to Walsall.

  • Build effective relationships and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including subject matter experts within HR and across the wider business
  • Collect, cleanse, validate and maintain HR data from a variety of sources, including the HRIS, performance management systems, employee surveys and other relevant platforms
  • Ensure all reporting and data requests comply with approved People Data Request processes, data protection legislation and internal data classification requirements, including ‘Need to Know’ principles and data categorisation standards
  • Maintain accurate records of People Data Requests, approvals and associated audit trails
  • Conduct regular data quality reviews, identifying trends, issues and opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations to enhance data accuracy and reporting processes
  • Promote good spreadsheet governance and compliance with the Spreadsheet Risk Management Policy (SRMP).
  • Ensure that governance and processes regarding data within your remit are suitably robust, adhered to and documentation is kept up-to-date, with an audit trail of all changes made
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency and system automation.
  • Work closely with the wider HR team to validate data, resolve data quality issues and support data cleansing activities where required
  • Develop, configure, test and maintain reports within the HRIS, ensuring they are accurate, reliable and meet business requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting, improve self-service reporting capabilities and increase efficiency across People reporting processes
