Qualifications
- Degree level qualification is desirable
- PRINCE2 or similar practitioner accredited
- AgilePM or similar practitioner accredited
- Change Management or similar practitioner accreditation is desirable
Knowledge
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Knowledge of waterfall, agile and scrum based methodologies
- Knowledge of IT systems and architectures
Experience
Essential
- Experience in delivering multiple / portfolios of projects, concurrently.
- Experience of managing project level budgets from £100k to £1M
- Experience of producing and managing resource forecasts
- Experience in managing technical projects, end to end, through the full project lifecycle
- Experience in business change projects, end to end, through the full project lifecycle
- Experience of shaping, developing and establishing business case for projects
- Experience of mobilising projects, identifying and organising resources and establishes the project governance (within the appropriate governance framework)
- Experience of delivering projects using a variety of project management methodologies to the agreed time, quality and cost plans and agreed governance
- Influential and articulate presentational skills
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to communicate to Senior Management
- Able to convert technical jargon to a business audience.
Desirable
- Experience of delivering projects using an agile methodology is highly desirable.
- Experience of working in a matrix managed environment
- Experience of working in a regulated environment would be beneficial.
- Financial Services industry experience (insurance) preferable
- Experience of managing other project managers to achieve delivery of projects
- Line management experience
- Experienced reporting up to board level
